Sewer Scope Inspection

Is an inspection of a home’s sewer lines that is conducted by running a specialized camera down the line from the house to the city sewer connection at the street. The camera allows the inspector to record video, which will be used to show if the line is in need of replacement or repair.

We strongly suggest completing a sewer scope inspection, you don’t want to skip regardless if the home is brand new or 100 years old. One common myth regarding inspections is that if a home is new, you do not need an inspection, especially not a sewer scope.

If The Home Is Brand New

The new sewer lines can be broken during construction, go undetected, and cause plenty of headache for you in just a short period of time. On the other hand, the older sewer lines can suffer from all the above issues and you would never know unless you had a sewer scope performed. For these reasons, we recommend that you always get a home inspection and sewer scope when purchasing a home.

The cost of a sewer scope can run anywhere between $250 to $350 and is well worth having the peace of mind that there are no costly repairs that may be lurking around the corner.

We are certfied and follow the interNACHI standards of practice!
